DAI implements a range of strategic projects aimed at promoting sustainable development, peace, and human rights in the Democratic Republic of the Congo. Our project portfolio showcases our expertise in designing and delivering innovative solutions that address the complex needs of vulnerable populations

Nutritional support for malnourished children

In 2021 and 2023, AID supported 41 severely malnourished children in Ibanda with balanced meals, medical care, and dietary education, improving health and promoting sustainable well-being.

Strengthening food security

AID enhanced food security by training farmers in advanced techniques and supporting women in Kamanyola (56 households) with high-quality rice seeds. Over 100 families in Kaziba and Walungu also received cassava seeds, boosting agricultural productivity and fostering resilience.

Craft training

AID empowered 56 women in Kalehe through comprehensive basket-weaving training, fostering economic independence and sustainable livelihoods. This initiative promotes socio-economic development and celebrates the women's entrepreneurial spirit.

Literacy training

AID empowered 956 women in Mulamba through a comprehensive Literacy Training Program. This initiative fosters self-reliance, community development, and economic opportunities.

Human rights and GBV

AID empowered 100 women leaders in Luhwinja and Twangiza mining zones through a specialized training on Human Rights and Gender-Based Violence. This initiative equips women to advocate for change, support survivors, and foster a culture of respect and dignity.

Child labour prevention

AID partnered with VICO to combat child labor in Bukavu, supporting 27 young mothers and their children with vocational training, education, and psychosocial support. This initiative protects children's rights, empowers young mothers, and fosters a future free from exploitation.
